Why hvac coil & blower cleaning matters

The blower wheel moves every cubic foot of air your home conditions, and it is almost never inspected. Dust bonds to the leading edge of each blade until the blade profile changes shape, at which point the wheel is moving noticeably less air while drawing the same power. Because the loss happens over years, nobody notices the day it becomes a problem — the system simply runs longer for the same result. Evaporator coils suffer a related fate: the fins load with fine debris that slipped past a cheap filter, airflow across the coil drops, and the system starts to struggle exactly when Sacramento hits its hottest stretch. Cleaning both is far cheaper than the capacity you are losing to them.

Our guarantee

If you are not satisfied with the result, we come back and make it right at no charge.

Benefits

What you get

Blower wheel cleaned blade by blade

The wheel is pulled where the cabinet allows and each blade is cleaned back to its actual profile, not just wiped on the visible face.

Evaporator coil cleaned correctly

Coil-safe cleaner and controlled rinsing, working in the correct direction so debris comes out of the fins instead of being driven deeper.

Condensate drain flushed

The drain line and pan are cleared while access is open. A slow drain is what turns into an overflow and a ceiling stain in August.

Airflow measured before and after

Static pressure and airflow readings give you a real number for what the cleaning recovered.

Cabinet and housing degreased

The blower housing collects an oily dust film that a clean wheel will simply pick back up if it is left in place.

Findings reported honestly

If what we find is a failing capacitor or a refrigerant issue rather than a cleaning problem, we tell you plainly and we do not sell you a cleaning that will not help.

Process

How we do it

Power down and open the cabinet

The unit is isolated properly and the panels come off so the actual condition can be assessed rather than guessed at.

Baseline readings

Static pressure and airflow are measured before anything is touched, so the improvement can be quantified.

Blower wheel and housing

The wheel is cleaned blade by blade and the housing is degreased so the clean wheel is not immediately reloaded.

Evaporator coil

Coil-safe cleaner is applied and rinsed in the correct direction, with the pan protected throughout.

Drain pan and condensate line

The pan is cleaned and the condensate line is flushed and confirmed to be draining freely.

Reassemble and verify

Panels go back with proper seals, the system is restarted and readings are taken again and reported to you.

Questions

HVAC Coil & Blower Cleaning FAQs

Is this different from a duct cleaning?

Yes, completely. Duct cleaning addresses the distribution system. This is the equipment itself — the blower and the coil — which is where most of the lost airflow actually hides.

How much airflow can this recover?

It depends entirely on the starting condition. A badly loaded wheel and coil can be costing a substantial share of the system's rated airflow, which is why we measure before and after instead of quoting a percentage.

Will this fix a system that is not cooling?

Sometimes, and sometimes not. If the cause is a refrigerant or electrical fault, cleaning will not fix it, and we will tell you that rather than take the job.

How often should the blower be cleaned?

Every five to seven years for most homes, sooner if the system runs long seasons, if you have pets, or if inexpensive fibreglass filters have been used.
